👨‍👦 Mentorship Programme (for Boys)

The Mentorship Programme, founded by Roy Wright and Maurice Johnson, began a few years ago with a heartfelt mission: to support single mothers in raising their boys and to provide the kind of positive male influence that so many young men are missing today. Recognizing that many males grow up without a strong father figure or male role model, this ministry steps into that gap with guidance, care, and godly leadership.

Over time, the programme has grown beyond its original vision and now welcomes young men from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. It has become a safe space where boys can learn, grow, and form healthy relationships with mentors and peers alike. Through this community, they not only receive guidance but are also encouraged to become role models themselves, passing on values of integrity, respect, and responsibility.

The programme balances character-building with fun and fellowship. Activities such as community service projects, sports—especially football—and group discussions provide opportunities for mentorship to take root in everyday experiences. These settings allow boys to develop life skills, leadership qualities, and confidence, all while enjoying time with their peers and mentors.

At its heart, the Mentorship Programme seeks to shape boys into men of faith, compassion, and strength—men who will one day positively influence their families, communities, and the wider world. It is about building character through play, service, and meaningful relationships, ensuring that every young man knows he is valued, supported, and capable of great things.
